The decision follows a court case brought by the Union of Flemish Travel Agencies against OKRA, an organisation for senior citizens. The union sued OKRA for organising trips for its members. The case, which OKRA lost, led to accusations that the law was not working in practice.
“There are no longer any requirements being imposed regarding professional expertise, and this for a sector with billions of euros in turnover,” said the Union of Flemish Travel Agencies in a statement.
